PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY
Pediatric dentistry comprises two key components: preventive measures at home and in the clinic. Given the rising prevalence of tooth decay among children in recent years, ensuring good dental and oral care is crucial in its prevention.
Typically, babies experience the eruption of their lower front two teeth around 6-8 months after birth. This is followed by the appearance of the upper front four teeth. Subsequently, the remaining teeth will emerge in pairs until the child has all 20 primary teeth, usually around 2-2.5 years old. It’s important to note that the timing of tooth eruption may vary for each child, and slight deviations are common.
Primary teeth, also known as milk teeth, play a vital role. They maintain space for permanent teeth and contribute to chewing, biting, speaking, and overall appearance. Ensuring a healthy diet and regular visits to the dentist are crucial for your child’s overall well-being. We understand that some children may have dental anxiety, and we strive to create a friendly environment where both you and your child feel at ease.
We take pleasure in getting to know children, assessing their needs, and fostering good habits related to diet, oral hygiene, fluoride usage, and more. It is truly an honor for us to be a part of your child’s journey toward optimal oral health.
